our PASSIONS + aspirations
Ray is a self taught photographer and photo stylist with five years of experience. She recently quit her full time job to pursue her passion for photography and has started her own branch of intimate portraiture under the North Arrow brand. Empowering women to feel comfortable in their own skin is her main goal with her latest endeavor. She hopes to travel the world capturing all of the beauty along the way.
One of Ray’s fondest memories is a road trip from St. Louis to Portland to see one of her favorite bands, Beirut. Her trip included stargazing, aimlessly exploring downtown Portland, an impromptu visit to Yellowstone National Park, and watching several sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. She remembers feeling at peace and finding clarity over the course of the trip.
Kyle has always had an interest in photography but started taking the hobby more seriously in 2010 and shortly after quit his job in architecture to take on photography and videography as a full time job. He hopes to utilize his successes to focus on self improvement and helping other reach their creative and business goals. He also wants to travel the world experiencing as many different sights and cultures as possible.
Kyle’s favorite memories include all of the trips he has made to Giant City State Park with different groups of friends. A few of those trips were in high school with some of his closest friends. It was an opportunity for all of them to get away from home, get out into nature, and explore some of the most unique natural areas Illinois has to offer. Another visit included two close friends to view the total solar eclipse in Makanda, a small hippie town, within Giant City State Park.
Le’Annie is passionate about photography but specifically fashion and portrait photography. She plans on becoming a world renown photographer one day. She hopes to one day found a school for the arts and take her siblings on a trip of a lifetime.
Le’Annie felt the most free on a solo drive to Florida describing the experience as a bird escaping from a cage. The views on her journey were incredible and a complete change of scenery. It was a freeing and empowering moment in her life where the world was at her fingertips. She no longer felt constrained and felt she could go anywhere and paver her own path forward.
