I have been eagerly awaiting for Ami and Rok’s wedding day for quite a while. We had such a fun time shooting their engagement session in Forest Park and downtown Clayton, and we knew their wedding day would be even more fun. It’s not every day I get to be immersed in another culture so I was really looking forward to this. Indian weddings are kind of a big deal. They are multi-day celebrations with close friends and family!
There was plenty going on at the Haldi/Vidhi ceremonies on the days leading up to Ami and Rok’s wedding day. It was a real party! There were so many family members and friends eating and laughing. There was so much emotion, color, and exuberant dancing in the room – and not to mention, the gorgeous intricacy of the henna by Henna by Zoey was amazing and the food provided by Flavor of India and desserts by Abish Carvajal were outstanding! Ami looked gorgeous in her outfit from India given to her by her nani. Our favorite clips were Ami and Rok’s reactions while their closest friends and family applied the ceremonial turmeric.
It was truly a fun and vibrant celebration of love and family and excitement for Ami and Rok prior to their wedding day! We can’t wait to share the wedding day blog! Enjoy!
