Lauren and Jared’s wedding was just a few days after a fairly severe snow storm in St. Louis. The weather was very nice, though, and the only remains of the storm was some melting snow on the ground. Both Lauren and Jared had so many beautiful details in their wedding day and it’s safe to say that I am obsessed with details. From the getting ready locations in Old Saint Charles to Lauren’s gorgeous lace and tulle button up dress to the bouquets containing succulents, roses, and peonies – I was in wedding detail heaven.
One of my favorite parts of the day was listening to Lauren and Jared read aloud their letters from each other. Both letters were very emotional and intimate and I felt all warm and cozy listening to them! I also enjoyed the friendship and silliness between the entire wedding party group. Both Lauren and Jared opted to not select one friend to be maid of honor or best man, saying that they had no favorites. I thought that was pretty righteous of them 🙂 Oh, also I am still laughing at the LimeBike electric scooter that made it’s way into quite a few images.
The sun set and temperature dropped quickly but the wedding party stayed warm by hanging out and singing songs together outside the Zoo in their cool limo complete with virtual fireplace. They joined family and friends at Lakeside Cafe in the Saint Louis Zoo for chocolate and viewing a couple of the zoo’s animals before being announced. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of dancing at this reception! This crew definitely knows how to have a good time and Kyle and I found ourselves laughing out loud and tapping our toes throughout documenting the evening!
We believe Lauren and Jared are on honeymoon at the moment and we hope they are warm on the beach sipping fancy drinks with little umbrellas in them! We wish them so much love and happiness and are so grateful to have been trusted to document such a special day 🙂
