Mary + Bryan | The Gardens at SIUE | Edwardsville Maternity

Maternity Photography at The Gardens at SIUE Edwardsville

I first met Mary at her brother’s wedding as an assistant videographer years ago. Eventually Mary reached out to me to be her wedding photographer – which was huge since I had just started my own photography company. I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well and to prove myself as a wedding photographer – it paid off because to this day her wedding is one of my all time favorites that I’ve ever captured.

I am so glad that Mary trusted me and saw the value in my photography because she is part of why I am the photographer I am today.

I truly fell in love with Mary and Bryan as a couple after spending their wedding day capturing all of the emotion and love shared between them and their families. We both kept in contact ever since. One of my favorite moments as a photographer was actually delivering her wedding album to her. As soon as I left, I received a very emotional text from Mary explaining that they had just found out earlier that day that they would have a difficult time getting pregnant and would need “a lot of science”. The album came at just the right time to lift their spirits, and that felt so huge to me.

Fast forward – a lot of science and tries later, Mary and Bryan are pregnant and expecting their first child to arrive August 1st! IVF is an expensive and time-consuming procedure that is never guaranteed – but they took their chances and things worked out for them! Mary found strength in hearing others’ stories who were struggling with conception and IVF.

They have decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise, which I think is so exciting! Being able to capture these maternity photos brought me overwhelming joy – with love and dedication, anything is possible. I know that they are going to be such amazing parents and I can’t wait to meet their little one and see all of the adventures that lie ahead for them as a family.

Congratulations, Mary + Bryan!!!
