We have been looking forward to this wedding since we departed from our initial meeting with Mollie and Curtis. This meeting lasted hours and was spent laughing over beers at The Flying Saucer downtown. To say that this day was beautiful would be an understatement. Mollie was stunning in her lace wedding gown with a train and vein long and dramatic enough to match the beautiful chapel, St. Francis Xavier, that they made their vows in. They kept things romantic and traditional by skipping a first look and seeing each other as they met in the aisle of the church. Curtis teared up when he saw Mollie in her dress and he wasn’t the only one moved to tears during their ceremony.

After having some great conversation and an amazing lunch with Mollie and Curtis and their close family and friends, we headed out for some photos. The day was one of the windiest we have encountered, but this couple can handle any weather with laughter. We had fun hanging out with them and their crew and bouncing around Downtown Clayton and Forest Park. We especially loved getting to take an epic picture of them with the giant beloved T-Rex statue outside of the Science Center!

The reception was held at the romantically lit Off Broadway in Downtown St. Louis. Guests were welcomed with gifts hand-painted wooden signs featuring the couple’s favorite quotes and temporary TATTOOS. That’s right – there were temporary tattoos of Mollie and Curtis’s faces in a heart and everyone (including yours truly) was sporting them! Handcrafted signs of popular cities their guests had traveled from, such as Chicago, IL, and Steamboat, CO, were candle lit at each table. There were tons of tasty cookies and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, games such as pool and shuffleboard, and tons of dancing. The night ended with the group’s favorite song and everyone swaying together in a circle around a very happy dancing Mollie and Curtis. We had a phenomenal time documenting this very special couple’s wedding day and we wish them all the happiness and adventure they can handle!
