Nikki + Zach | In-Home Family Session + Vow Renewal at GlenMark Farms | St. Charles, MO Wedding

" We had a happy marriage because we were together all of the time. We were friends as well as husband and wife. We just had a good time."

Julia Child

Nikki and Zach have a simple, sweet ‘falling in love’ story which includes being unsure if they had a legitimate first date because they started out as friends that hung out together all the time before realizing they had feelings for each other. Perhaps this is worth taking note of, considering they have now celebrated ten years of happy marriage! They are so in love, in fact, that they decided to renew their marriage by exchanging handwritten vows.

We were elated when Nikki and Zach asked us to document their vow renewal. In addition to documenting this, we wanted to showcase them in their element doing what they love and they decided that would be taking their jeep for a spin and cooking a nice dinner at home with their family. We got to meet their two kids, Lilly and Will, who are seriously two of the best behaved and charismatic children we have ever encountered. We also got to watch them cook and bake, a process they made look fairly effortless considering our kitchen always ends up looking like a bomb went off after we attempt the same thing. The best part of the session was the food and the conversation. Hands down the best steak we have ever had. EVER.

Nikki and Zach have fun together – so we thought it was cute when they did a ‘rock, paper, scissor’ match to determine who would speak their vows first. They both shared sentimental, intimate vows expressing how much their love has grown for each other over time and co-parenting. The weather wasn’t the sunniest, but that didn’t stop their joyous celebration! They even danced in some mud for the camera.

We are so happy to call these two love birds friends and want to congratulate them again on such a monumental milestone together. Cheers to ten years and to many more!
