“A river seems a magic thing. A magic, moving, living part of the very earth itself.”
Robin and Driftwood were married at The Lalumondiere Mill & Rivergarden overlooking the Big River under an open roof covered by wisteria and surrounded by close friends and family.
These two spend a ton of time camping and floating by rivers and so The Lalumondiere Mill & Rivergarden was truly the perfect venue for their wedding. The Lalumondiere is like nowhere we’ve ever seen before, with it’s well tended gardens and structures made from reclaimed, historic wood and metal, it’s multi-level patios, and of course the historic Byrensville Mill overhanging the scenic Big River with it’s picturesque waterfall.
Driftwood arrived with a fleet of friends by way of their motorcycles. Many of them donned customized leather vests identifying them as members of their group – even Robin was gifted one at the end of the night, signifying her joining Driftwood’s biker family. We really loved their ‘first look’, which didn’t actually involve seeing each other but rather being back-to-back holding hands and talking to each other on the bridge before the wedding ceremony. Also, the flowers were insane – so many different kinds of vibrant tropical flowers covered every table! It was truly a unique and beautiful wedding day.
We are so happy to have met Robin and Driftwood and to have been a part of their wedding day! We wish them many years of happiness together and plenty more memories made on the river!
