We are excited to share with you Tommy and Zach’s engagement session in Soulard and The Grove in St. Louis, MO!
Let’s start with a bit of back story. We met Tommy and Zach while shooting their friends’ wedding, Alisha + Jeff, in Cozumel, Mexico. When they reached out to us about their upcoming wedding, we immediately recognized them from the trip. Their amazing dance moves from that destination wedding were literally unforgettable. Needless to say, we were elated when they wanted us to document their big day!
When planning their session we wanted to relive their first date with them and although they met at a Starbuck’s, we decided to start the session off at The Sweet Divine, a local boutique bakery and coffee bar in Soulard. We then bounced around to other areas of Soulard just as they did on their first date. Some memorable locations to the two are Chava’s and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. After sharing stories over a round of margaritas it was off to The Grove!
The Grove is a fun St. Louis spot to shoot in and the vibrancy of street art complimented the personalities of Tommy and Zach well. This area is well known for it’s LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and accepting atmosphere. We wandered around to some of their favorite spots on the strip and ended the night eating sandwiches and sharing drinks at The Gramophone. Best. Sandwiches. EVER.

We ended up staying out later than we usually do with clients, but Tommy and Zach are so much fun to hang out with that we lost track of time! We look forward to their wedding at The River City Casino and should probably book our hotel room now as the fun of capturing their wedding will surely keep us celebrating all night!
